Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our nanny and babysitting service in Thailand.
Nanny Vetting & Qualifications
How are your nannies vetted?
Every nanny undergoes a thorough multi-stage vetting process before joining our team. This includes a formal interview, review of work history and childcare experience, reference checks from previous families, a Thai national ID and criminal background check, and a personal assessment by our management team. We only place nannies we would trust with our own children.
Are your nannies CPR and first-aid trained?
Yes. All nannies hold current Advanced First Aid and CPR certification, covering infant and child resuscitation, AED use and emergency response. Certificates are regularly renewed to ensure all training is up to date.
What does your CPR and first-aid certification cover?
Our nannies are certified in Advanced First Aid and CPR — including infant and child CPR, automated defibrillator (AED) use and basic emergency first-aid response. All certifications are current and regularly renewed.
How much experience do your nannies have?
We only work with nannies who have a minimum of two years of documented childcare experience. Most of our team have significantly more. Many are mothers themselves and have been caring for children of travelling families for five, ten or more years.
Are your nannies English speaking?
Yes. All nannies on our team are conversational in English, enabling clear and confident communication with parents and children. Many families from the UK, Australia, the US and Europe have used our service without any language barrier.
Can I see my nanny’s credentials before they arrive?
Absolutely. We are happy to share nanny profiles, relevant experience and certification details on request before your booking is confirmed. Transparency is part of how we operate.
Do your nannies have experience with newborns and infants?
Yes. We have nannies who specialise specifically in infant and newborn care. When you enquire, please tell us the age of your youngest child and we will match you with a nanny who has appropriate experience.
How often are CPR and first-aid certificates renewed?
Certificates are renewed on a regular basis in line with industry standards. We do not allow certifications to lapse and our management team actively tracks renewal dates for every nanny on our team.
Do nannies undergo reference checks from previous families?
Yes. As part of our vetting process, we conduct reference checks from previous childcare roles. We speak directly with past employers where possible to verify character, reliability and experience.
Are your nannies experienced in caring for children with anxiety or separation difficulties?
Yes. Our nannies are calm, warm and experienced in gently managing children who find separation difficult. We always recommend introducing the nanny to your children before the first session begins to ease the transition.
Can I trust a nanny with a very young baby who requires specific care?
Yes. Nannies caring for young babies are selected for their specific infant experience. We take extra care with these matches, ensuring your nanny is confident and experienced with newborn feeding, sleep and settling routines.
Do nannies have to follow a specific code of conduct?
Yes. All nannies agree to a professional code of conduct covering punctuality, discretion, phone use during sessions, behaviour around children and communication standards. We maintain high expectations and address any concerns swiftly.
Can I see a photo of our nanny before they arrive?
Yes. On request, we can share a photo and brief profile of your nanny before your booking so that you and your children can familiarise themselves before the first day.
Do your nannies have experience with children who have developmental differences?
Some of our nannies have experience with children with autism, sensory sensitivities or developmental differences. Please disclose any relevant information when you enquire so we can match you with the most appropriate carer.
How is a nanny’s performance monitored?
We actively collect feedback from all families after each booking. Nannies are reviewed by our management team on an ongoing basis. High performance is recognised and any concerns raised by families are investigated and addressed immediately.

Booking
How do I book a nanny?
Simply complete our online enquiry form or send us a WhatsApp message. Include your dates, location, the ages of your children and any specific requirements. We will respond promptly — usually within a few hours.
How much notice do I need to give?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak season (December to January and July to August). However, we always do our best to accommodate short-notice requests subject to availability.
Can I book for just one evening?
Absolutely. Our babysitting service is available for single evening bookings with a minimum of 4 hours. We also offer daily, weekly and travelling nanny services for longer arrangements.
Is a deposit required?
A 10% deposit is required to confirm all multi-week bookings. Single babysitting sessions do not require a deposit. Full details are outlined in our booking confirmation.
Can I extend my booking once it has started?
Yes — in most cases we can extend your booking subject to your nanny’s availability. Please give us as much notice as possible so we can confirm without disruption.
What happens if I need to cancel?
For multi-week bookings: if you cancel more than 48 hours before the start date, your deposit is fully refunded. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, the deposit is non-refundable. For single babysitting sessions, cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a minimum 4-hour charge.
Can I request a specific nanny?
If you have used our service before and had a wonderful experience with a particular nanny, we will always do our best to arrange the same person for your next booking. We cannot guarantee availability but we make every effort.
Do you take bookings over Christmas and New Year?
Yes — we operate year-round including all public holidays. Peak season (December to January) books up quickly so we strongly recommend enquiring as early as possible.
Can I make a provisional enquiry before my trip is confirmed?
Yes. We are happy to receive enquiries at any stage of your planning. An early enquiry helps us understand your needs and flag availability, even if dates are not yet finalised.
What information do I need to provide when booking?
The key details are: your arrival and departure dates, your accommodation name and location, the number and ages of your children, the type of service you need (babysitting, daily, weekly or travelling) and any specific requirements or medical information we should be aware of.
How long does it take to receive a booking confirmation?
In most cases we confirm bookings within a few hours of receiving your enquiry. During peak season it may take slightly longer but we will always acknowledge your enquiry promptly.
Can I book for multiple locations in one enquiry?
Yes. If you are visiting multiple locations in Thailand, please include your full itinerary in your enquiry and we will arrange cover across all destinations in a single coordinated booking.
Is there a booking form on the website?
Yes. Each service page and location page has an enquiry form. You can also use our main Contact page. Alternatively, you can WhatsApp us directly on +66 80 009 6016.
Can I book a trial session before committing to a weekly arrangement?
Yes. We recommend this for families who are unsure about committing to a full week. A single daily booking can serve as an introduction, after which many families choose to extend into a weekly arrangement.
What currency are payments made in?
All payments are made in Thai Baht (THB). Our rates are quoted in THB and payment is typically made directly in cash at the end of each session or as agreed at the time of booking confirmation.
Can I pay by card or bank transfer?
Please enquire at the time of booking about your preferred payment method and we will advise on current payment options available for your booking type.
Can corporate clients book on behalf of employees?
Yes. We work with corporate clients who provide nanny services as a benefit for employees travelling with families. Please contact us directly to discuss corporate booking arrangements.
Service
What is the difference between babysitting and a holiday nanny?
Babysitting is our flexible service for shorter periods, typically evenings or a few hours during the day. A holiday nanny provides full-day childcare (8 hours or more), ideal for families wanting all-day support throughout their holiday.
What is a weekly nanny service?
A weekly nanny gives your family the same dedicated carer every day throughout your stay. She becomes familiar with your children’s routines, personalities and preferences, providing consistency and stability that shorter bookings simply cannot offer.
What is a travelling nanny?
A travelling nanny accompanies your family across multiple destinations in Thailand. Whether you are island hopping between Koh Samui and Koh Phangan or moving between Phuket and Chiang Mai, your nanny travels with you providing consistent care throughout.
Can a nanny accompany us on excursions?
Yes. Our nannies are experienced in accompanying families on outings, day trips and excursions as part of their role — including beach trips, elephant sanctuaries, cooking classes and boat days.
Can the nanny help with meals and bedtime routines?
Yes. Our nannies are experienced in preparing simple child-friendly meals, managing nap times and bedtime routines, bath time and all the practical elements of daily childcare.
Can you provide childcare for a wedding?
Yes — weddings are one of our most popular bookings. We provide a dedicated childcare team at wedding venues across Koh Samui, Phuket and beyond, keeping children entertained and safe so that parents can enjoy the day fully. See our Weddings page for more details.
What activities will the nanny do with my children?
Our nannies are experienced in age-appropriate play and activities including games, arts and crafts, swimming supervision, reading, beach play and exploring. They will naturally adapt to your children’s interests and energy levels.
Can the nanny prepare Thai food for children?
Yes. Your nanny can prepare mild, child-friendly versions of Thai dishes where appropriate, as well as familiar international foods. Please discuss your children’s food preferences and any dietary restrictions at the start of the booking.
Can the nanny help establish a sleep routine for a baby on holiday?
Yes. Our nannies with infant experience can work with your baby’s existing routine or help gently establish a new one during your stay. Consistency of care across the holiday helps enormously with infant sleep.
Can a nanny manage a child who has a fear of water?
Yes. Our nannies are patient and experienced in working sensitively with children who have anxieties around water or swimming. They will never force a child and will build confidence gradually at a pace that feels safe.
Can a nanny attend a beach club or resort restaurant with our children?
Yes. Your nanny can accompany the children to beach clubs, resort restaurants and family dining venues as part of her daily role — allowing parents to relax or dine more freely.
Does the nanny use her phone during sessions?
Our nannies are expected to keep personal phone use to a minimum during sessions and focus fully on the children in their care. This forms part of our professional code of conduct.
What happens if a child has a minor accident during care?
Our nannies are trained in Advanced First Aid and CPR and are equipped to respond calmly to minor injuries and incidents. They will contact you immediately and, if required, our management team can assist in coordinating appropriate medical support.
Can the nanny bring the children to meet us at a restaurant or venue?
Yes. In appropriate circumstances your nanny can bring the children to join you at a family-friendly venue. Please discuss this with your nanny at the start of the session and ensure the environment is suitable for the children’s ages.
Can a nanny assist with potty training during a holiday stay?
Yes. Our nannies are experienced in supporting potty training with patience and consistency. Please brief your nanny clearly on your child’s current stage and preferred method so they can continue your approach.
Are nannies expected to tidy up after the children?
Yes. Light tidying of the children’s space — toys, books, play areas — is a natural part of the nanny’s role. This does not extend to general housekeeping of your accommodation.
Practical
Do you come to our villa or hotel?
Yes. We are a service area business. Your nanny comes directly to you. Whether you are in a private villa, a five-star resort, a boutique hotel, a bungalow on the beach or a private home, we arrive at your door.
What are your rates?
Our babysitting service starts from 400 THB per hour (4-hour minimum). Our daily nanny service is 3,000 THB for an 8-hour day. Our weekly nanny service is 15,000 THB (8 hours per day, one day off per week). All rates are clearly listed on each service page. There are no hidden charges.
Do you charge extra for evenings or weekends?
Our standard rates apply across all days and times. Please enquire directly if you have specific requirements around very late-night or overnight bookings, as these may attract a different rate.
Do you have the same WhatsApp number for all locations?
Each location has a dedicated WhatsApp number so you can reach the team closest to you. Numbers are listed on our Contact page and on each location page.
What age children do you care for?
We care for children of all ages, from newborns through to teenagers. We match the right nanny to your family based on the ages and needs of your children.
Should I provide meals for the nanny?
For daily and weekly bookings, we ask that you please provide a meal for the nanny during their shift. For short babysitting sessions this is not expected but always appreciated.
Can the nanny swim with the children?
Our nannies provide poolside and beach supervision and many are comfortable in the water. However, our nannies are childcarers, not professional swimming instructors. Children should always be supervised appropriately near water and we ask that parents agree on water-safety boundaries at the start of each booking.
What if our nanny is unwell or cannot make it?
In the very unlikely event that your nanny is unable to attend due to illness or emergency, we will always arrange a qualified replacement as quickly as possible. Your booking is our commitment.
Is there car seat provision when the nanny travels with us?
Thailand does not yet enforce car seat use at the same level as Western countries. If you require a car seat for transfers, please bring your own or hire one through your villa or rental company. Please brief your nanny accordingly.
Can I communicate with the nanny via WhatsApp during the day?
Yes. Once your booking is confirmed you will have a direct line of communication. Please use messaging for updates and non-urgent notes rather than calling the nanny while she is actively caring for your children.
What is the best way to brief a nanny before her first day?
A short handover at the start of the first session is ideal. Cover your children’s routines, food preferences, any allergies or medications, bedtime procedures, house or villa rules, pool access boundaries and your contact number. We also recommend writing this information down.
What sunscreen or safety products should I provide?
Please ensure your accommodation is stocked with appropriate sunscreen, insect repellent and any other safety products your children need. Your nanny will apply these as directed but the products must be provided by the family.
Will the nanny send photo and video updates during the day?
Yes. Our nannies send regular WhatsApp photo and video updates throughout the day so you can see your children happy, playing and thriving while you enjoy your holiday. At the end of each session your nanny will give you a full handover — what the children ate, how they slept, what activities they enjoyed and how the day went.
Can the nanny drive the children anywhere?
Our nannies do not drive as part of the service. All childcare takes place at your accommodation or in locations you arrange to travel to together as a family. If you need a driver as well as a nanny, please discuss this when you enquire.
What is the average age of your nannies?
Our team spans a range of ages and experience levels. Most nannies on our team are between 25 and 45 years old, with many being experienced mothers themselves. We match based on experience and suitability rather than age alone.
How do I give feedback after a booking?
We welcome all feedback. You can send us a WhatsApp message, reply to our follow-up email or leave a review on Google. Your feedback helps us maintain our standards and recognise outstanding nannies on our team.
Do you offer gift vouchers for nanny services?
Please enquire directly if you are interested in gifting nanny service to another family. We can discuss bespoke gift arrangements for honeymoons, babymoons, family birthdays or other special occasions.
What if I want to tip my nanny?
Tips are entirely at your discretion and are always gratefully received by our nannies. If you have had a wonderful experience, a tip is a lovely way to show your appreciation directly.
